If you become a client of Emolumin Therapium, PLLC, services and communications may take place through secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms. These tools have been selected for their privacy protections, reliability, and alignment with applicable federal and state law. They include:
Telehealth Video Sessions: Conducted through Spruce Health, a secure platform that uses end-to-end encryption and maintains a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Emolumin Therapium, PLLC. Clients are required to register for a free Spruce Health account to access video sessions, and may also choose to download the mobile app for secure messaging and ease of use.
Phone Calls and Voicemail: Managed through Spruce Health configured to restrict access to your provider at Emolumin Therapium, PLLC only.
Email Communication: Outgoing emails are sent using ProtonMail, an encrypted, HIPAA-compliant email provider. However, if you are referred through a third-party platform that provides its own secure messaging system, email may be used only for limited administrative purposes or when required outside the scope of that system. Please be aware that accessing emails from unsecured devices or personal accounts may carry privacy risks.
Electronic Forms and Signatures: Informed consent forms, intake paperwork, and other documents may be completed and signed electronically through Hippoforms, a HIPAA-compliant form and e-signature platform that maintains a BAA with Emolumin Therapium, PLLC.

Any such changes will continue to meet all federal and state requirements for privacy, security, and data retention.
Clients who are referred to and connected with Emolumin Therapium, PLLC through third-party networks such as Headway or SonderMind will have their documentation, scheduling, billing, and secure messaging managed through the HIPAA-compliant electronic health record (EHR) systems provided by those platforms:
For SonderMind clients, video sessions and secure messaging are conducted directly within the SonderMind platform. Voicemail and email, if needed, are handled outside the platform via Spruce Health and ProtonMail.
For Headway clients, documentation, scheduling, billing, and secure messaging are handled within the Headway platform. However, telehealth sessions, voicemail, and email communication are conducted outside the platform using Spruce Health and ProtonMail.
Although clients may be matched with Emolumin Therapium, PLLC through third-party referral platforms such as Headway or SonderMind, Emolumin Therapium, PLLC remains solely responsible for all clinical decision-making, treatment, and care provided. These platforms do not direct, supervise, or influence your provider’s professional judgment or therapeutic services. All platforms used by Emolumin Therapium, PLLC maintain Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) and comply with applicable HIPAA and Washington State privacy regulations.Please note that all platforms used have been selected for their commitment to privacy, data security, and HIPAA compliance. You will receive full documentation, including a Notice of Privacy Practices, if and when you begin treatment.
